US base price and launch discount
The official Loftia FAQ lists US$29.99 as the base price for the Early Access release. Qloud Games repeated the same figure in its September 20 release announcement on Steam and in a Team Loftia post on Reddit. Those announcements also introduced a limited-time launch discount of 17%. With the discount applied, the US price is US$24.89.
The discount is described as limited-time, but its end date was not stated in the sources checked for this page. If the launch price matters to you, plan to buy close to the November 3, 2026 release. Check the Steam page on the day, because it shows the live price and any countdown. Creator videos that repeat the same numbers are useful reminders, but the official FAQ is the authority.
In practice, the launch discount saves US$5.10 on the US price. That figure is simply the difference between US$29.99 and US$24.89. It is a one-time purchase rather than a recurring payment. The same purchase gives you access to Early Access updates as they are released.
Regional pricing
The September announcement says that regions outside the United States use regional pricing. That means the price in your local currency is set on Steam rather than calculated from the US dollar figure. Exchange-rate conversions can easily give a misleading number. Open the Loftia store page while signed in to Steam to see the real price for your region.
Other currencies were not listed in the sources checked for this page. Searches like the price in reais or pounds are common, but no official figure for those currencies was verified here. The Steam store is the place where that answer becomes visible. It will also show the discounted launch price once Early Access opens.
Taxes and payment method can also affect the final amount you pay in some countries. Steam shows the total during checkout before you confirm. Regional pricing is set by the developer on the platform. That is why the store page is more reliable than any conversion.
Free demo versus the paid game
Loftia has a free demo, but the full game is not free. The demo runs on Steam from October 19 to October 26, 2026 through its own store page. It covers the opening Loftia City content and ends before the Hanging Gardens quest segment. After the trial, continuing requires buying Early Access.
The good news is that demo progress is not lost when you buy. Link your Loftia website account in-game with your email, and your progress, items and quests carry into Early Access. Unlinked progress cannot be recovered, according to the developer. That makes the demo a useful way to decide whether the price is worth it for you.
The free demo is time-limited and ends on October 26, 2026. Prices for the paid game only start to matter from November 3, when Early Access opens. Between those dates, wishlisting the main game on Steam keeps you informed. Pre-registration on the official website is free and sets up your account.
No subscription required
Loftia is an online MMO, but it does not charge a monthly game subscription. The official FAQ states that there is no mandatory subscription for the game. You buy it once to play Early Access. That is different from some MMOs that charge a recurring fee.
The FAQ does note that external platform subscriptions are a separate matter. Any subscription you hold for another service is not part of Loftia’s own pricing. The game itself does not add a required monthly cost. Online play is included in the purchase.
Being buy-to-play means you are not paying for access month by month. If you take a break and come back later, you do not lose access because a subscription lapsed. The only required cost is the game itself. Any extra spending is optional and cosmetic.
Optional cosmetics and the Community Pass
Loftia offers optional cosmetic purchases on top of the base game. The official demo page mentions the Backer Boutique, which sells cosmetics. These items change how things look rather than adding required content. You can play without buying any of them.
There is also a Community Pass with premium rewards. The official page describes those premium rewards as cosmetic. It also says they do not expire after the related project is completed. That means you are not forced to buy and finish the pass within a short window to keep its items.
Exact prices for individual cosmetics and the Community Pass were not listed in the sources checked here. Treat any specific number you see elsewhere with caution until you can confirm it in the game or on the official site. The base game price is the only figure that has been officially announced. Optional spending is entirely up to you.
Could the price change later?
The developer’s Early Access statement on Steam warns that pricing may rise before or at version 1.0. No version 1.0 date has been announced yet. If you are sure you want the game, buying during Early Access protects you from a possible later increase. The launch discount adds a further saving for early buyers.
Early Access also means the game will keep changing as development continues. Content planned for this phase includes the three main regions of Loftia City, Hanging Gardens and Gridfall. The store page explains what the developer plans to add over time. Read it before buying so you know what you are paying for.
Where to buy and what you need
Loftia is sold on its main Steam page, app 2320980, for Windows and macOS. Steam Deck support and controller play are confirmed in the official FAQ. Mac players need a Mac meeting the macOS requirements listed on Steam, and Intel-based Macs are excluded. A Nintendo Switch version is planned for 2027, but its price has not been announced.
Kickstarter and BackerKit pledges are closed, so they are no longer a way to buy in. Pre-registration on the official website is free, but it does not purchase the game. Add Loftia to your wishlist to be notified when Early Access opens at 1pm EST on November 3, 2026. Remember that the game always requires an internet connection.
If you backed the original Kickstarter campaign, your rewards are handled through your official account. New players cannot join backer tiers now that the campaigns are closed. There is no publicly reusable discount or reward code verified for Loftia. Be wary of sites that promise cheaper keys or free copies.
