Official registration steps
Open the official pre-registration form on the Loftia website. The form asks for your name and your email address, and it has one optional field for a referral code. Fill in the required fields and finish the account flow that follows. Use the live form on the official site rather than a link copied from an old article.
Team Loftia announced that pre-registration was open on September 16, 2026. The same program was published on Reddit and in the official Steam announcements on that date. Some older pages still show a coming soon banner from before registration opened. Ignore those and go straight to the current form.
The form is short, and you can finish it in a few minutes. After you submit it, follow any confirmation steps sent to your email so the account is fully set up. That account is the same one you use later to link the demo or Early Access in-game. Without it, rewards and progress have nowhere to be stored.
If you already have a Loftia account
You do not need to create a second account if you already have one. The September 16 announcement says existing account holders can log in and pre-register. That includes players who signed up for earlier events or backed the game. Keep using the same email address you used before.
Using one consistent email matters for rewards. The developer has explained in a backer update that mismatched emails can cause problems with rewards and account details. If you suspect you created two accounts by mistake, contact the team about merging them. Sorting this out before Early Access saves trouble later.
Backers from the original Kickstarter or BackerKit campaigns should also log in rather than register again. The official activation page notes that Kickstarter and BackerKit are now closed. Backer rewards continue to be handled through the official account. A single account keeps backer, pre-registration and demo rewards together.
The optional referral field
The registration form includes an optional field for a friend’s 12-character referral code. You can leave it empty and still complete pre-registration. Many creators share their own referral links, but none of them is required. A referral code is not an official requirement for joining.
Referral codes are tied to the invite system rather than to free item coupons. When friends sign up through your referral, it counts toward invite rewards tracked on your account. During the demo, the Pebble Chair requires one invited friend and the Pebble Couch requires two. These are the documented referral rewards, so treat other promises with caution.
Claim the rewards and link the game
Both new and existing account holders can claim two pre-registration rewards, according to the September 16 announcement. The announcement shows the reward artwork, but its text does not name both items. For that reason this page does not list their names. Check your official account to see exactly what has been added.
To use your rewards and progress in the game, link your website account in-game with the same email. The official demo page gives this instruction for demo rewards and progression. Linked demo progress, items and quests carry into Early Access. Progress that was never linked cannot be recovered later.
Rewards are added to the account rather than redeemed with a public code. No publicly reusable Loftia reward code was found in the official sources checked on October 19, 2026. Pre-registration and demo participation are the documented ways to earn early items. Our redeem codes page explains the difference between referral codes, Steam keys and reward claims.
Pre-registration is not a purchase
Pre-registering creates and prepares your account, but it does not give you a game license. To play Early Access you still need to buy Loftia on Steam when it launches on November 3, 2026. The announced US price is US$29.99, with a limited-time launch price of US$24.89. Regional prices apply elsewhere.
A Steam wishlist is also different from pre-registration. The wishlist lives on Steam and notifies you when the game becomes available. Pre-registration lives on the Loftia website and handles your account and rewards. Many players will want to do both before launch.
Pre-registration also does not reserve a place in any test. The Closed Beta that ran in April and May 2026 has ended, and the current public access is the free demo. Signing up simply makes sure you are ready when you start playing. Buying the game remains a separate step on Steam.
Character names and website usernames
Your website username is not proof that you reserved an in-game character name. Name reservation works through the game itself. The October demo announcement says names can be released if you do not log into Early Access between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027. Logging in during that window protects a name you picked in the demo.
This difference catches some players out. They assume that pre-registering with a username locks that name in the game. In practice, play the demo with a linked account and log in after launch if a name matters to you. Our demo guide covers the name conditions in more detail.
The demo itself runs from October 19 to October 26, 2026. If you want to secure a name early, that week is the time to create your character and link your account. After that, log in once between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027. Check the official demo page if the conditions are updated.
Stay safe while signing up
Only enter your details on the official Loftia website. Third-party pages that ask for your account password or payment details are not part of the official program. Pre-registration itself does not ask for payment. If a link looks unusual, reach the form through the official site or the official Linktree instead.
For questions about rewards or accounts, the official Discord is the place recommended by the developer. The FAQ points players there for questions to the team. Keep your account email up to date so reward and launch messages reach you. With that done, you are ready for the demo and Early Access.
Pre-registration is free and takes only a name, an email and a few minutes. It does not commit you to buying the game, and the referral field can stay empty. Once your account exists, you can link it in the demo, claim rewards and log in on launch day. That makes it a sensible first step for anyone curious about Loftia.
